Nel Rossy is a composer of orchestral and cinematic music, specializing in original soundtracks for film, animation, video games, and other audiovisual formats.
His work is defined by a blend of stylistic versatility, technical precision, and a deep artistic understanding of visual storytelling. Each composition is crafted to enhance the narrative from within, responding with sensitivity to its tone, rhythm, and atmosphere. His approach aims to meet the unique demands of every project with accuracy, balancing the richness of symphonic orchestration with a contemporary aesthetic that merges acoustic and digital elements.
Over the course of his career, he has composed for short films, literary works, live events, international collaborations, competitions, and other creative formats. He is currently expanding his artistic voice through a range of ongoing projects.
His compositional language is built upon a strong orchestral foundation, deeply influenced by Russian Romanticism—particularly the works of Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, and Stravinsky—and enriched by contemporary figures such as Hans Zimmer and Ennio Morricone. This foundation is further shaped by his passion for traditional folk music from Japan, East Asia, and Europe, which he weaves seamlessly into his style, expanding his expressive and sonic palette.
Nel's musical sensitivity has deeply personal roots. His connection to music began in early childhood, inspired by his grandfather and mother, who nurtured in him a fascination with classical music. He began studying piano at a young age and, after a period of self-guided exploration, discovered his true calling: composing for visual media. This led him to pursue formal training under the guidance of Jordi Clapés, following the ABRSM Royal Schools of Music program in London, where he earned Distinction honors. He currently maintains a strong commitment to artistic growth, continuously expanding and enriching his compositional voice through ongoing learning and constant creative exploration.
Today, this personal and artistic journey is reflected in a unique creative voice—one that brings together emotion, narrative depth, and compositional rigor in service of each story.
